Yoga is a bottom up approach to healing. It works with the body, where we store our emotions and trauma. Working with the body invites the person to explore how they can move through out the world and feel safe

My yoga philosophy

  • Anyone can do yoga- Often yoga is depicted as someone becoming a pretzel as they move from pose to pose. That’s not how I do yoga. My yoga is gentle and modified for anyone to do. Yoga does not discriminate against body size, body shape, gender, sexuality, race, mobility, etc

  • Use your breath as an anchor- this helps to stay present in each moment and notice how your body speaks to you

  • Listen to your body- only you know what you can and cannot do. You get to decide how much and how fast you go into a pose. Rest in a seat or child’s pose. Move in a way that feels good.

  • No perfection- we aren’t hear to be perfect, we are here to just move within our authentic self accept each moment as is. I will hold unconditional positive regard. No judgments or standards here. This is a safe space to be yourself.
